Saint Malo before the start of the 40th anniversary Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe welcomed over one and a half million visitors during the build up period. But on the race pontoons, the media centre and the VIP areas – as well as in the streets of the beautiful walled ‘Corsair City – you could see a real who’s who of solo ocean racing. Among them were many past, present and future Vendée Globe skippers.
