The first three Class 40 are approaching the finish line in Itajaí which is in the middle of a cloudy, stormy system with next to know wind. The leader is expected late this evening but with so little wind that may slip.
GDF SUEZ (Rogues-Delahaye) still lead the fleet of 23 Class 40’s with less than 150 miles to the line. Over last night Itajaí was subjected to some massive thunder and lightning storms with torrential rain and in its wake the mood is more akin to the Doldrums. There are only a few catspaws rippling the water, it grey overcast and humid.
